Semester Exchange

In order to come to Cattolica for a semester or a year as an Exchange student, your home institution must be a Cattolica partner, either within Europe (List of EU Partner Institutions) or outside (List of Non-EU Partner Institutions) or an ISEP member institution (ISEP Network www.isep.org).


To verify all the options available for you, and to have information about application procedure, please refer to your International Office.   



Nomination and application process

First step – Acknowledgement Once e-nominated by your home institution, you will receive an email with a link to complete the UCSC Cattolica Online Application.

The following documents are required:

  1. One passport-size photos (3x4cm)
  2. ID document/Passport (scanned copy)
  3. Learning Agreement/Course Request List containing your planned courses in our institution
  4. Most recent Transcripts of Records obtained in your current year of study.
  5. Italian Language Proficiency Report completed from you and from your language instructor
  6. English proficiency certificate



Second step – AcceptanceUpon receipt of your application and the enclosed additional required documents, UCSC International will process the documentation. You will receive an e-mail when formally admitted to the university. Should some documents be missing, you will be informed through a follow-up e-mail asking to provide more information. Additionally, Non-EU Students will also receive a letter of acceptance / invitation for visa application procedures.


Third step – InformationAdmitted students will start receiving information regarding their stay at Cattolica via e-mail within one month upon submission of their application.


Fourth step – Course RegistrationYour learning agreement or course request list is your first indication of what you intend to study at Cattolica. However, you will be able to change your course selection either before or after your arrival on campus.

For the courses of the International Curriculum you will receive all the information related to your course schedule and registration instructions before the beginning of classes. 

For the University Academic Curriculum you will receive instructions on how to register to the courses at the Orientation Event and in specific info sessions organized from the International Student Services.
